Lucia Hrdá is a Slovak-born artist whose practice bridges photography, voice and performance.
Drawing from her Slovak and Polish heritage, she weaves together folk traditions, church music and ancestral memory to explore themes of presence, absence and connection.
Her creative journey began with community choirs and folklore ensembles in Slovakia, later expanding into classical vocal training and performances in Slovakia and the UK. Alongside singing, she developed a passion for photography, purchasing her first camera at the age of ten and later completing a photography degree in London, where her graduation project was exhibited at The Truman Brewery during Free Range – the annual creative graduate showcase.
